5. Third-party services H.A.R.R.I connects to
Depending on the features you use, H.A.R.R.I connects directly from your machine to third-party services to fetch content or data. When it does, a request (which may include technical information such as your IP address) is sent to that service, which is governed by its own privacy policy. These include, among others: Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, LRCLIB (lyrics), Radio-Browser, iptv-org, Deezer and Apple iTunes (music metadata), the Internet Archive (public-domain films), DiceBear (avatars), Open-Meteo (weather), CoinGecko and Yahoo (prices), ESPN (sport), TMDb (film data), TheCocktailDB, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Postcodes.io, and Google Drive (content packs). Where a feature uses your own account with a provider (such as a streaming service), your use is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers and the third-party services above are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law (such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses).
7. How long we keep your data
We keep account, licence and purchase records for as long as you hold a licence with us and afterwards for as long as we need them for legal, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. Diagnostic logs are kept only as long as needed to resolve issues. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access your data; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased in certain circumstances; restrict or object to certain processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@playkings.co.uk.
